The GEOPUZZLESNZ story reads just like your typical backyard garage project...
It all started when Jimi was given a nice piece of plywood and thought 'hmm, I wanna make something nice out of this'. It wasn't until after many weeks that the idea finally struck whilst relaxing in bed.
The next day saw Jimi with a coping saw and a map of NZ which he pasted onto the wood with carbon papar and after hours of cutting, sanding, painting and glueing…boom the first Geopuzzle was born. It was a tough labour, but worth it.
For about ten years Jimi made different maps and gave them away to people from different places. He could never show his puzzles to others because he always gave them away - they certainly make for original gifts.
A big upgrade was when Jimi bought the scroll saw, the puzzles started to look more pro and he even sold a few.
Jimi's world puzzle was an epic piece of work.
Then things started to get real - just as Jimi upgraded to a fancy laser cutting machine, he met this crazy guy Gabb from an unknown planet who appeared to be good at pushing buttons on a computer. Before long they worked out that together they could create Geopuzzles of high quality and consistency.
And so, GEOPUZZLESNZ was born.
We probably will conquer the world, but we are not in a hurry, its too entertaining to see this same world get even crazier than us...
